Oregon Board of Forestry Meeting in Portland, Oregon
July 24 and 25
The July 24 meeting will be held at the Hotel deLuxe at 729 SW 15th Avenue. Of special interest to BLA is a morning presentation and discussion of certification and state forests. Present will be state foresters from Indiana and Pennsylvania to discuss their experiences with certification. The meeting starts at 8AM, with certification the first thing on the agenda.
The July 25 meeting will be held at the Ecotrust Bldg. at 721 NW 9th Ave. The day will be devoted to presentations and a roundtable discussion by people who are working to advance conservation values on private land through non-regulatory means, including easements, certification, and developing markets for ecosystem services. The meeting begins at 9AM.
