STATEMENT OF VALUES
In order to become a Supporting Member of the Build Local Alliance, you must agree to the following:
The Build Local Alliance is a network of businesses and supporters whose mission it is to improve the vitality of local forests and related human communities by connecting local, responsibly grown and processed wood with local projects.
As a Supporting Member of the Build Local Alliance, I support the organization and its mission to improve the vitality of local forests and related human communities by connecting local, responsibly grown and processed wood with local projects. I support the promotion and use of local wood, and specifically wood sourced from responsibly managed forests from within the Oregon and Southern Washington region. By "responsibly grown and processed," we mean one or more of the following:
* FSC certified (or managed in an equal or better manner)
* Urban or non-industrial salvage
* Reclaimed wood (old beams, timbers, siding, etc.)
As a Build Local Alliance Supporting Member, I will continue to ensure that my information is kept current with the Alliance and on the website, and I will contribute to the organization and its membership in a capacity of my choice (serving on a committee, volunteering at events, lending expertise, and/or contributing financially). In addition, I will serve as an ambassador for the Build Local Alliance in my networking circles, and will promote the value(s) of using local, responsibly grown and processed wood.
I have read and agree to the above statement of values:
